#1 Post by Argon-11 » 24 Sep 2021, 23:59

Hello!
Is it available to check buses for single nets?

Please clarify what error do you want to catch by ERC. A bus with single net is not error I think.

Sure this is not an electrical error. But it can be a logical error when a designer forgets to include a paired net in the bus. Especially when there are many nets in the bus and they are on different sheets. At least in P-CAD, a single occurrence of the net in the bus is monitored.

There is "Nets with Single Pin" option in ERC setup. If enabled, it should verify all nets including those connected to buses.

Sorry, not at all. This only happens if the net is actually connected to only one pin, but this is a rare occurrence.
Please look at the net PCH3

If I forget to connect this net from the bus to any other component, I would have a PCB with trouble.

Maybe it would be useful if window Bus Nets will contain a number of connections any net to this bus.

Thank you for the clarification. We will consider an option to check buses for single nets.
