component origin when doing a filter/search?

#1 Post by electrowiz » 23 Jun 2022, 04:19

The filter allows you to search the libraries for a specific part. Once you have the results of the filter, sometimes it would be helpful to know "where" that component is located, i.e. what component group and what library etc, but I do not see how to do this. It is especially important when the search results include two of the same (or similar) part numbers.

Does anybody know how to figure out what group/library holds the components returned from a search/filter?

With the search filter still open, hover the mouse cursor (do not click) over a component name in the list of found items and a pop-up will show the related library.
