Library file wrong format?

#1 Post by JohnC » 02 Dec 2012, 17:30

I cannot get the dip.lib to open showing the various pad configurations. Keep getting "Library format is incorrect? Maybe something simple or minor? All files called for are in the x86 Dip Trace folder. Thanks JohnC

"Library format is incorrect" message typically appears if you try to open library that was created in newer version of the software. Please update to the latest version in that case.

The version I am using is 2.3. I used the component editor to create the part.(no problem) When called the Dip.lib loads the main title list into the window, but clicking on it again to open up the various pin packages is when the incorrect file format pops up? All files are from 2.3 not old files. I had Dip Trace removed and then reinstalled the 2.3 vr. (no old files). Thanks JohnC

I downloaded the 2.3.1 patch/fix and removed all traces to the previous vr. Now all functions are solid and all files (old+new) are good. I might have had a bad path issue between vr's or the patch worked. Thanks. JohnC
