Suggestion for "NO CONNECT"

#1 Post by mtripoli » 02 Jun 2014, 15:13

Minor point...

It would be nice to have a "NO CONNECT" symbol for pins, etc. that do not connect to anything. In Orcad, one can select the no connect symbol, a small "x" that is attached to the pin. This way it is obvious when looking at the schematic that this is in fact not connected. It also gives the schematics a much nicer "finished" look. I tried making my own, but in order to do this one must have a "pin" of some length that doesn't match up to the graphic (x text). This "NC" symbol should be right on the pin and not have any "leader" (pin) length.

Do a right mouse button click on the pin symbol and use -> Not Connected.

Hot damn :!:

Thanks for that... I'm new to Diptrace (Orcad guy going back to 1984) and really enjoying learning this tool. Thanks again for the tip.
