Just curious to see if anyone else is having problems with the PCB & Schematic editors not responding after initial launch. This happened after Windows-10 decided to run major updates. It looks like the latest version of Windows-10 may have broken DipTrace's "Check for Updates" function and is causing it to freeze up and not respond. The Pattern & Component editors seem to open OK.
UPDATE: Before the Windows-10 update, I had been using a very recent video driver (within the last two months or so). After the Windows-10 update, DipTrace had launch problems. Looked on the NVIDIA website for newer drivers, found the latest version dated November 2019, loaded it and DipTrace works once more. It's possible the new Windows-10 download corrupted my video drivers, but I can't say for sure. Anyway, I hope this will help those who might be experiencing the same difficulties after loading the new Windows-10 update.
PCB & Schematic editors down?
Re: PCB & Schematic editors down?
I checked edition Windows 10 Pro version 1903 build 18362.476 Nvidia 391.25 sys-info with massive confusion: Nvidia File: 416.78 date 7/14/2019 is installed, current at Nvidia 441.12 date 11/04/2019 -
At any rate mine worked fine before installing the latest Nvidia driver. Funny this hit the same day Nvidia announced the Jetson Xavier NX: 21 TOPS at 15 watt for $399, $300 more then the Nvidia Nano at 472 GFLOPS for 10 watts. 21 Tera Operations per second vs 472 Giga Operations per second... Huge. Think Pick & Place Camera..

Re: PCB & Schematic editors down?
Just finished wrestling with the touchpad driver on my wife's laptop, thanks to this latest Win10 update. For some strange reason, the touchpad re-enabled itself (she normally has it disabled). After diving into the "Device Mangler", the touchpad appeared as just another "HID-compliant mouse" without a disable switch. Updating the touchpad driver brought everything back to normal, again.
