3D STEP export not working in 4.1.3.0

#1 Post by DanS » 30 Jun 2021, 05:15

Trying to export a board layout to a 3D STEP file for import into SolidWorks. Worked fine until we upgraded to 4.1.3.0. Now, the STEP export process does not work if we have the option for package models checked (the resulting STEP file has a file size of 0kb). If we uncheck package models, we do get a valid STEP model of only the board. If we uncheck the board and check only part packages, the file size is 0kb. It seems to be the package models that are causing the problem. Export of VRL format still works, but 3D models are not useful for Solidworks as they import as graphics bodies which cannot be edited. We installed 4.1.3.0 over the existing installation and everything else is working fine. Is there something we need to do relating to the installation of 4.1.3.0 to fix this ?
