Disable Thermals for Pour

#1 Post by PaulNewf » 15 Jul 2021, 05:42

Is there a way to turn off thermals for a pour.
Our practice is to manually control how traces connect to tiny SMT.
The automatic thermals conflict with this.
Is there a way to turn them off for the whole copper pour, so only manual connections exists to all pads?

Not that I can see.
I think you will have to try the following procedure, but be ready to use "Undo" just in case things go awry...
1) Select all (Ctrl + A), right-click on one of the pads in question and choose "Thermal Settings..." in the context menu to bring up the "Thermal" dialog window.
2) In the "Thermal" dialog window enable the "[x]Use Custom Settings" option, set "Connect:" to "No", set "Apply to:" to "Selected Components" and click on "OK".
3) Update all copper pours and manually route all of your missing copper pour connections.
