User libraries no longer on site

#1 Post by Tantrum » 05 Dec 2018, 13:16

In this topic: viewtopic.php?f=19&t=8&p=18&hilit=vacuum#p18 it said that user libraries were sent by e-mail.
When following the links, the Diptrace site reports they are no longer available. I wonder what happened with these files.
Were they incorporated in the standard Diptrace libraries? Or maybe not relevant anymore? I specifically was interested in the file: Vacuum tubes from Patrick Jankowiak,
because I noticed that many symbols for older (e.g. vacuum tube) components do not have a pattern attached.
For a lot of those components the footprint dimensions are very hard to find. Can anybody help me with ideas or links?

Thnx,
Rob

The links were broken, we just updated them yesterday so you can download the libraries.
Normally, we don't integrate user libraries to standard libs.
As far as I know vacuum tubes are not soldered to boards directly, they are plugged into a socket. Therefore it is normal practice to keep tubes without attached pattern. When you select appropriate socket and create pattern for it, you can attach the pattern to your tube.
