3d components sourcing and installing ?
Re: 3d components sourcing and installing ?
You can download the 3D models from diptrace
https://diptrace.com/download/libraries-and-3d-models/
Or if you use some nonstandard diptrace parts as modules try searching for "name of part" 3D step file, usually I get them on grabcad, you can then insert them in the 3D preview window

Thanks for your reply
Yeah , so do i get 3d libraries in the free version of diptrace , i downloaded files from diptrace and do these need to be unzipped ?. Ive seen grabcad , looks good .
What about for much older components like 1960s and 70s vintage or do they only cater for the stuff that is relatively new. Pretty new to this game .

You can download the 3d models for free for the free version, they come with a simple installation software.
There are a lot of parts, the generic one are mostly the same as the ones in the 60s 70s, im not sure that you will be able to find vacuum tube models in them but there should be some 3d models online.
