Background colors for filled drawings - redux
Background colors for filled drawings - redux
Add selectable background color capabilities to the filled drawing shapes (rectangle, circle, polygon) in the Component Editor. Doing this in the Component Editor would simplify and speed up the process of enhancing component visibility in the Schematic Editor, as the component being brought into the schematic would already have the desired look. Add the ability to change the background color setting of the component's filled drawing shape to the Schematic Editor. Here is a comparison between a stock DipTrace example schematic (left side) and what it might look like if there were selectable background colors for component shapes (right side)...

I can colour the above in Altium & do use it when highlighting signal paths etc to service personnel. It would be a great addition to DipTrace. We print these on a colour printer as it speeds up our service department's faultfinding.
We also use it to highlight potentiometers (& inductors etc) etc that are required to be adjusted during product calibration procedures.
