configurable colors for copper pours
configurable colors for copper pours
When I design RF boards, or in general boards with several separated grounds, I use several distinct copper pours.
I would find useful to assign a different color to each pour, as you can already do with nets. This would make much easier to identify pour borders and to correct mistakes.

Maybe it would help approximate this to make each such pour have a different pattern. That way they would look distinctive when poured. You could keep it that way, or switch each to solid once the rest of the design is done.
I find myself switching from poured to non-poured states frequently at some stages. I was going to the Properties. Right-clicking and choosing State makes that much faster.

Also adjustable transparency on each layer would help. When doing RF, at the end you often need to go in and staple all your ground planes together. It is really tough to do if you can only see one ground plane at a time because you never know if you are putting static vias over traces on other layers.

To do so I often use "T" and "B" to switch between TOP and BOTTOM layers. But transparency would be great! Also adjustable transparency on each layer would help. About the colored pours, I think a good idea would use the same color as the net color.

Bump for transparency
Re: configurable colors for copper pours
Another vote for variable layer transparency!
Thanks!

So this is an old thread, why has it not been implemented? And configurable layer colors for routing
what the hell, I just posted this on 6 Feb 2020 and it states my post was in 2016...lol

Indeed, it would be nice to change color an opacity of the layers.
Also nice would be to set a specific Copper Pour color! That would help a lot when routung!
