I used to work a little with Orcad 15 some time ago. I found it very powerful and complete (even if a lot of features are, frankly, useless in the 99% of the cases), but fairly complicated to use. Diptrace looks nearly as powerful, maybe less complete but a lot more easy to use. There's one thing, anyway, that I found quite useful in Orcad and is missing in Diptrace: the Cleanup Design function. As long as DRC checks for errors, there may be some things, at the end of the autorouting phase, that, even if not errors, aren't the best solution. Orcad allowed for a deeper check of the layout for such problems.
The attached quotes from a book about Orcad best explain what I'm talking about.
It isn't a mandatory feature, of course, and it's possibly even hard to implement, but I think that it's worth a thought about.
Hope this helps.
