Copper Pour Line Width: 0.1mm (smallest size)

#1 Post by jet31 » 03 Mar 2017, 05:51

Hello DipTrace ,

We have experience that the smallest Line Width is only 0.1mm.
We are making a small size PCB with small component like 0201 resistor and capacitor.
Our problem is that when using a 0.1mm Line Width during Copper Pour, some gnd with thermal setting cannot
be connected. The copper pour cannot pass through in between pads.

Please help us on this , so that we will not keep on manual routing the remaining gnd not connected.
Thanks in advance and more power to DipTrace.

Thank you for the report. This is protection from very small line width that could hung copper pour updating. We will consider smaller minimum value.

Right now our tracks are usually 0.1mm routing, sometimes we go 0.08 mm in special cases..
Is there a change that the Copper Pour line width could go just a little bit lower than 0.1mm to cater our scenario.

Im my previous PCB tools (Circad Omniglyph). My usual Copper Pour line width is 0.06mm to solve this kind of problem.
and so far I don't have any problem with this. The only problem of circad is that it doesn't have blind via.
that is why we jump into DipTrace.
