In PCB Layout editor, I have several components (e.g. test points) for which I don't want the RefDes on the silkscreen but I want the Value shown instead.
I select them all, Right-click Properties and then under Markings / Silk I set RefDes to "Hide" and Value to "Show".
All the RefDes are hidden. Good.
Only one Value is shown, probably for the component I right-clicked. Oops! I have to visit the properties of each component to set the Value visibility.
I'm running version 4.3 on Mac.
PCB layout - Value visibility doesn't affect all selected components
Re: PCB layout - Value visibility doesn't affect all selected components
Confirmed on my system (Win10/64, DipTrace 4.3.0.1).
One way to get around this problem when a lot of components have been selected and the "Value" parameter has been set to "Show" (this can also be a troubleshooting aid for the developers) is to toggle the visibility setting for the "Name" parameter to either "Show" or "Hide", then return it to "Common". This will mysteriously cause the other selected components' values to appear.
