Single pad testpoints not included in Pick-and-place

I have testpoints on my board, which have a single pin component and single pad pattern. Why are these not included in my pick-and-place export? What must I change so that they are included?

If the testpoint has only pad then it won't be included in Pick and Place file. But if you add any shape (silk screen for example) to the pattern then software will know that it is "real" component and will include the testpoint to Pick and Place file.

I know this is an old thread, but is there a way to prevent paste on a test point?

I've just noticed that you can right click on the pad and select 'Mask/Paste settings' and disable paste.
