Mirroring a section of a schemaic.

#1 Post by glenlivet » 22 Sep 2015, 23:50

If I highlight a section of a schematic how do I mirror that section of the schematic that contains multiple components?
The flip command only does individual components or flips all the highlighted components in the schematic section.
This would be a very helpful utility.

So, DT is up to 3.0, is there any answer to this yet? It would be nice to be able to easily mirror 20 components or so in one or two clicks...

As a temporary "work-around", would the following procedure accomplish the same task?...
1) Select the part of the schematic to "mirror" by dragging a box around it.
2) Group the selection (Ctrl + G).
3) Rotate the group 180-degrees (press the space bar twice).
4) Ungroup (Ctrl + Alt + G).

Thanks Tom, unfortunately it doesn't quite do the same thing. A very simple example, to get a point across, would be something like the Basic Astable Multivibrator Circuit where one would capture the left hand side and simply mirror right hand side.

Of course, this is an over simplified example:

Ah. I see now. Yeah, it would be nice to be able to flip/mirror an entire group (components together with their Nets).

May this can helpful.
Right-click component -> properties -> check the "Mirror" checkbox (it's in the lower left-ish corner).

To invert, rotate the component 180°, and mirror it.
