Messed up DipTrace under OSX
I recently tried installing Wine on my computer (Mac OSX 10.14.2) and ever since DipTrace has been behaving oddly.
When I try to launch DipTrace, the entire computer freezes for a few seconds, DipTrace doesn't appear but I see XQuartz (X11) at the top menu.
Normally Wine should appear at the top menu.
Clicking on DipTrace again will launch it but the graphics is slower and the main cursor is different (a hand).
I have since tried uninstalling Wine and was probably not entirely successful because the DipTrace symptoms persist.
I've tried reinstalling XQuartz and DipTrace multiple times but the problems seem to persist.
Anyone have any ideas how this could be fixed?

Re: Messed up DipTrace under OSX
Please reinstall DipTrace in the following way.
2. Remove folder //Users/macuserdip/DipTrace 3.3.1.0/ if it exists.
3. Move DipTrace 3.3.1.0 from Applications to Trash.
4. Open downloaded DMG file, drag DipTrace 3.3.1.0 from there to Applications.
5. Open Applications, find DipTrace 3.3.1.0 there and start the program.
6. The first start takes a while (more than usual). It shows Wine window during the first start informing about building the prefix then the window is closed and DipTrace is started.

Re: Messed up DipTrace under OSX
That is exactly what I did. Still doesn't work correctly.
Re: Messed up DipTrace under OSX
1. Please move Wine and DipTrace to trash
2. Make sure you removed Wine prefix /Users/<username>/DipTrace 3.x.x.x
3. Remove Wine-related entities (or move them to different location) from the following folders:
/Users/<username>/.config/menus/applications-merged/wine-*
/Users/<username>/.local/share/applications/wine/
/Users/<username>/.local/share/desktop-directories/wine-*
/Users/<username>/Library/Application Support/Wine
/Users/<username>/Library/Caches,
/Users/<username>/Library/Preferences,
/Users/<username>/Library/ApplicationSupport,
/Users/<username>/Library/LaunchAgents,
/Users/<username>/Library/LaunchDaemons,
/Users/<username>/Library/PreferencePanes,
/Users/<username>/Library/StartupItems
4. Open DMG file and install DipTrace by dragging from there to Applications
5. Start DipTrace and check whether Wine prefix (/Users/<username>/DipTrace 3.3.1.1) has been created (size is about 1,4 ГБ (1 385 979 773 byte))

Re: Messed up DipTrace under OSX
Removed everything you suggested. Some directories you suggested didn't exist and/or were empty.
Reinstalled again and still get the XQuartz X11 icon when starting DipTrace and no DipTrace.
The Wine DipTrace directory was created and is about 1.37GB in size.
After X11 is active, if I start DipTrace, I get the following:

Re: Messed up DipTrace under OSX
Just installed V3.3.1.1 and after a reboot of my machine everything seems to be working again.
Thanks for the update.

Another possibility for Mojave:
start Systems Preferences -> Security & Privacy. Click the Privacy tab. Select Accessibility. UN-Select DipTrace.app.
On mojave, this disconnects the guardian process, tccd, from diptrace.app. The net effect is much less CPU time needed for wine process. This setting gets turned on when an app starts, and dialog box appears asking for permission to control the computer.

I'm not seeing an entry for DipTrace.
