When I try to import I get " not valid message.
I downloaded ALL the formats, Altium fails, PADS fails, Eagle worked this time but Ultra Librarian (I think) has updated their version of eagle to Autodesk and it fails. I don't know about KiCAD, the latest version ate 5GB when I installed it and it promptly disappeared when I tried to use it, several times, Windows 10 Insider Program and Ubuntu 18.04.4~ .

Re: Import PAD fails
Until Novarm finds a solution for the problem here is a zip folder containing DipTrace ASCII files of a crusty old v3 "PJ-028-SMT", a slightly more refined v4 "PJ-028-SMT" and a 3D model STEP file (I just happen to be working on updating my CUI pattern library for v4)...
Let me know if you find any problems with the files.Tom
Re: Import PAD fails
The Eagle files from CUI were good, I tried PADs then Altium but they didn't work. I just checked out Ultra Librarian and it does Eagle without errors, I think the one I had issues with was SnapEDA, but I've been on a part building binge trying to get a project out the door. The pattern from CUI had 3 and 3.1 pins, changed 3.1 to 3@ seemed to work!
Re: Import PAD fails
I tried to import PADS files from the archive. They have V9 format while DipTrace supports PADS 2005 version. But the import doesn't fail for me, it's completed without errors. The only issue I see is round SMD pad instead mounting hole.
