Hello,

I've been doing 3D modeling and 3D scanning for a year and a half and I've been looking for free software compatible with Artec Studio. I can say that Blender seemed to me the best. In addition, I would advise TinkerCAD and OpenSCAD.

Hope it helps. There are many more programs that I have not tried

Autodesk Audocad is great CAD software but it's premium and costly. So I share some budget friendly and free CAD software on my blog CGIA3D that you should checkout.

Very beginner-friendly and far easier to learn than Blender. Great for mechanical parts, enclosures, and making accurate STEP models for DipTrace. The free personal license has some limitations but is more than enough for creating 3D component models and small enclosures.
Passionate PCB designer & electronics engineer sharing DipTrace tips, 3D models, and schematic design insights for efficient, high-quality circuit board layouts.
