Component Markings on Either Side of PCB

#1 Post by BuGG » 16 Nov 2023, 01:04

It would be great if we could set the layer of the silkscreen component markings.

For example, component values on the top of the PCB, RefDes on the bottom. (or both on top and bottom)

In my old days of consumer electronics repair it was common for component RefDes to be printed on the bottom of the PCB to aide in troubleshooting.

Granted this is more useful in through-hole designs than SMD.

It would be highly beneficial if we could customize the layer of the silkscreen component markings. For instance, having component values on the top layer of the PCB and Reference Designators (RefDes) on the bottom layer, or even having both on both the top and bottom layers.
