Hello, happy to learn that DT is making V.5 ready for a stable release. Since all our development computer platforms are Linux ubuntu and I use standard DT 4.3 over Wine, my concern is whether all the features of 5.0 are getting fully tested on Linux / Wine during your development. We are time restricted to test anything "Beta" so I can only commit to the V.5 upgrade when this version is reported to be stable and working reliably in Ubuntu/wine.
Is the complete DT testing over Linux/Wine included in your test schedule beside "standard" Windows and Mac?
Status of DipTrace Version 5 tests on Linux?
Re: Status of DipTrace Version 5 tests on Linux?
We already released stable version of DipTrace 5.0. It works well on Linux. To avoid possible issues with DipTrace on Linux, we recommend to install stable version of Wine and 32-bit version of DipTrace.

Re: Status of DipTrace Version 5 tests on Linux?
Hello,
Is there a technical bulletin or whitepaper on installing Diptrace 32 bit (or 64) on Linux Mint/Cinnamon? I fought with it for a few hours today but getting very quirky behavior. Steps:
Using Mint software manager, installed Wine 9.0 (stable) and Winetricks.
Then installed the Diptrace 32 bit executable (downloaded today)
Issues after registering:
When launching Schematic, the splash screen is blacked out
As the screen enters the schematic there are blue streaks in the work area. Clicking anywhere gets rid of them.
Biggest issue: The Schematic Window has no minimize! I see in upper right "tiles" and "X". So not being able to minimize is a problem. Even right clicking in title bar, "Minimize" is greyed out.
Tried many fixes - including wine config "graphics" checking/unchecking the box to allow program to control window behavior.
Seems to be 2 issues at play - video graphics(splash and blue streaks) and window behavior. (no minimize)
FYI - I have a NVIDIA 4060 card which seems to have installed with no issues. I'm using an AMD Ryzen processor.
Has anyone successfully got v5.x working under Linux Mint, or any Debian? I would love to hear how I could get this working so I can avoid having to install a VM.
Thanks, very appreciated.
Gary

Issues resolved to a reasonable degree.
