Recommended way to upgrade from v4.3 to v5 for Linux/Wine ?

Hello, what is the recommended way to safely upgrade from v4.3 to v5 in Linux Ubuntu ? We use DT using Bottles (internally based on Wine) .
If the removal of old version recommended, then can somebody share the steps needed to do a complete cleanup except user data ? Any "left-over" configuration files ?
Also how to preserve all the libraries including the custom libraries accumulated over the years ?

I should have mentioned that I've been using successfully 32-bit version DT v4.3 even though my Bottles/Wine is 64-bit.
Should I upgrade again to 32-bit or can I use now new 64-bit version with my 64-bit Wine?
