Its been years I'm working with diptrace and I really love it. There is only one thing that I do not understand or may be this feature is missing.
For my custom pattern I use a different smaller hole size which does not match with hole size used on builtin patterns, in result I have to change hole size while designing PCBs. Whenever I refresh PCB design from schematic this change got undo, and also often I forgot to change size of some components and find it when I receive PCBs.
I want to request this feature (if does not exist) so that we can define a single hole size which is automatically assign to all patterns in PCB but we should be able to assign a different hole size when or where needed. It will help us to avoid extra work and only focus a few components of the PCB where we want a different hole size.
Default hole size for pattern
Re: Default hole size for pattern
There are two possible solutions: quick and reliable.
Quick solution: lock components on PCB, renew board from schematic and say no when the software asks to update locked components.
Reliable solution: You can create new or open existing custom pattern library in Pattern Editor and create custom patterns with smaller hole size. When done, attach your own patterns to components in schematic. If you renew related board from the schematic now, whole board is updated but hole sizes are kept.

Re: Default hole size for pattern
The challenges faced by users are the default hole sizes for custom templates in PCB design. I believe that with the proposed solutions including locking components during updates and creating custom templates to maintain preferred sizes will help in making the choice of size suitable for each purpose.
