1) Using the Component Editor, create a test component library containing multiple components.
2) Add an empty rectangle to the first component.
3) Resave the component library.
4) Export the updated component library as an XML file.
5) Open the new XML file in an editor and observe that all XML coding is intact.
Warning: The following steps will ruin the test file for XML export, so make sure it is not needed...
6) Returning to the Component Editor, convert the rectangle's solid lines to dashed lines using the new dashed-line tool.
7) Resave the component library.
8) Export the updated component library as an XML file.
9) Open the new XML file in an editor and observe that most of the code has vanished.
I have also found that deleting the first component in the component file and resaving it does not fix the XML export error.
Once the dashed-line tool has altered the component file, recovery of proper XML exporting appears to be impossible.
