Trace colors

#1 Post by mstucker@iu.edu » 22 May 2025, 03:12

Hello, Long time user and I have been a big fan of DipTrace.
However, there seems to be a change that is really slowing me down, enough to consider switching programs.

I have always used net colors in the schematic program. They not get transferred to the PCB program. Is there a way to set the default for trace color to "by layer"?
I can change each net, but that takes a lot of time, and it reverts every time you update from schematic.

Is there a fix for this?

As far as preventing it from automatically transferring the net colors to the PCB, I am not aware of a switch that would disable this behavior. Maybe there is one somewhere? However, a quick workaround while in the PCB editor would be to select all (Ctrl + A), right-click on one of the traces and choose Trace Color > By Layers. This should force all traces to revert to their default PCB colors.
