Windows 7 Hiding Files in DipTrace Project Folders

#1 Post by ruthlessovert » 11 Oct 2025, 07:17

I'm organizing my projects in Windows 7, but some files seem to be hidden. I set up separate folders inside my DipTrace directory to keep each project organized. Since every project includes several files — such as old revisions and different board versions — having them all in one folder became too cluttered.

Confirm the save location. DipTrace usually saves in C:\Users\<yourname>\Documents\DipTrace
or sometimes in C:\Program Files\DipTrace if you changed it manually.
Windows may protect or virtualize files in Program Files, so it’s safer to keep your working projects under Documents.
