Curved differential traces

#1 Post by passpics » 04 Jun 2024, 13:26

Is it possible to do curved differential traces? I'm doing an HDMI layout, and the datasheet recommends curved traces if possible. If not... wishlist please!

Apparently not. Select the "90/Arcs" Routing Mode and begin routing a differential trace. You will notice that the Routing Mode will automatically default to "90/45" and the "90/Arcs" option will be grayed out...

Curved differential traces still not possible 18 months after this post. It is a pretty common requirement for differential traces in all kinds of areas like HDMI, USB, CPU data bus, advanced industrial projects, etc etc. I wish they would add it. I'm not exactly a software engineer but it seems like it shouldn't be that difficult to implement mathematically/geometrically. Diptrace is always improving, I wish this improvement would happen soon
