Auto save folder

#1 Post by friesen » 23 Aug 2018, 03:00

Where are the auto save files kept? I have lost some work due to a power glitch and I would like to check the folder for the backup if possible. I inadvertently opened the pcb window before realizing I had lost my work, so it overwrote the file maybe?

Start PCB Layout and execute "File->Recover Board". You don't need to know where recovery file is saved. But do not hesitate, recovery file will be overwritten after some actions in PCB Layout.

I found an alternate copy.

Is this some secret then? I don't need to know but I do want to know if it's not some deep dark secret.

Usually, auto-saved files are stored here:
C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Temp\DipTrace
