Silkscreen spacing differences between PCB 5.2.0.2 and 5.2.0.4

#1 Post by diptraceuser23 » 09 Jan 2026, 18:33

Hi there,

Was there a change on how silkscreen is processed between Diptrace PCB 5.2.0.2 and 5.2.0.4? I designed my board using 5.2.0.2 but when I open it on 5.2.0.4, I notice all the silkscreen is taller/bigger (more vertical spacing) and as a result off the board. (I am not sure about 5.2.0.3 because I don't think I noticed this issue on it.)

Here are screenshots of 5.2.0.2 (my computer #1) and 5.2.0.4 (my computer #2).

Please let me know how I can debug this further.

Thanks.

Are there any differences in the Gerber export as well? Try changing the graphics mode (View → Graphics Mode).
If the problem persists, please send us the file using the support request form:

Hi,

1) Yes, gerbers generated are different too.
2) Changing graphics mode didn't fix 5.2.0.4. (and didn't break 5.2.0.2)

I submitted my design file to support using the link you mentioned.

thanks.

Thank you for the report. I confirm the issue. We will fix it.
For now, to work around the problem, you can change the Line Spacing parameter for the multiline text in Properties.
