I am trying to make a PCB with a vintage aesthetic: single-sided, no solder mask, vertical components, etc. But there are some limitations I'm facing with the PCB software, or maybe I'm just not looking in the right place.
First, the autoroute only seems to want to allow jumper wires going in one direction for each side of the board, meaning that they're all going vertical or all going horizontal.
Second, vintage PCBs look like they were routed at whatever angle worked to connect component A to component B in the shortest pathway, not necessarily using 90 or 45 degree angles. I'm specifically looking at this PCB as a reference (https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/AekAAeSw ... l1200.webp).
Lastly, in addition to the routing angle, the traces are curved. I know you can do curved traces manually, but why isn't this feature supported for auto routing?
Are there ways to do what I'm looking for or are they simply not supported?
Thanks

Re: Autoroute curved traces, bi-directional jumpers, and free routing angles
The listed functions are available only for manual routing.
There is a setting here to define the routing direction:
Main menu Route - Autorouter Setup - Settings - Use Priority Layer Directions
You can first run autorouting for all nets. Then, for the traces where you need a "vintage" look, use "Unroute" from the context menu and route them manually.

Thanks. I take it there are no plans to include these features in a future release?

At the moment, there are no plans to develop these features for the upcoming version of the program.WarFreak131 wrote: 12 Jan 2026, 17:58 Thanks. I take it there are no plans to include these features in a future release?
