How can I know how much current a copper track can handle?

#1 Post by james2312 » 09 Jul 2019, 21:56

I am working with projects that use triacs to switch AC loads over the internet with the ESP8266 module, and I made a 2 layers PCB design for it.

I use a 2mm copper track for the AC connections, but I didn´t calculate anything for it, I would like to know if there was a formula to know the correct track width.

Here you can see a video( where I explain how I designed it if there is a doubt.

Your answer would be useful, Thanks.
