Problem exporting DXF as outline, not solid.

#1 Post by badstraw » 12 Feb 2020, 19:16

Im trying to export a logo in dxf format using illustrator. As soon as I export it and try to open it all I see is the logo outline. Im trying to export it as a solid, or “fill” instead of the outline only.

Would you guys help me please?

Assuming you want everything to end up on the Top Silk layer...
1) Before exporting to DXF, make sure all figures are closed polygons.
2) Import into the Top layer (copper) with the "[x]Fill closed areas" and "[x]Embedded polygons" options enabled.
3) Move the new copper object to the Top Silk layer.

Thank you!!! I was so frustrated, because I thought it was an illustrator thing.

I really appreciate it!!
