Three Wire RTD

#1 Post by Bon Shaw » 18 Mar 2020, 15:44

I need to run two wires to the same pin of an RTD. When connecting the two wires DipTrace automatically assigns them the same net name. So, when auto routing the PCB the two wires are joined together where they are the closest. This won't work. How do I keep them separated until I want them to join at a terminal block elsewhere on the board.

I suppose you could try manually routing the two nets and then locking them (right-click on each completed trace and choose "Lock Selected" in the pop-up menu). The autorouter will not touch locked traces.
