JST issues with Documentation

#1 Post by KevinA » 29 Mar 2020, 22:32

While working on a S4B-ZR-SM4A-TF, 4 pin 1.5mm pitch side entry SMT connector I found the 3D image provided from JST did not match the devices documentation. I adjusted the two anchor pads to match the 3D image.
Is it just me? Attached is jst-testing.lib, jstZH.pdf and ZH.STEP 3D image.

Update: I found a Ultra Librarian version of the ZH connector but Eagle, KiCAD, Altium version are broken:

The FEA at Digikey set an update with the pad set at 2.7mm:

I purchased some to verify the device but I'm now looking at Molex connectors, seems there is now a 25% tariff charge on anything China. I did find a 1.5mm pitch molex connector and it was rated at 30 insertions, I have no idea how many insertions the ZH connector is rated at.....
