File format

#1 Post by sergii » 08 Jan 2021, 16:52

At the moment saved files (schematic/layout) are binary - that makes it hard to track changes made to a schematic/layout when using git or any other version control system.

Seeing and understanding changes prior to committing them could be a valuable tool as this can protect you from unwanted/accidental changes and improve collaboration and version tracking.

Hope that makes sense.

You can export DipTrace ASCII files from all DipTrace programs.
