Copper space

#1 Post by ALI » 23 Jan 2024, 18:43

Hello all.
I have received this from PCB house as a recommendation
"Spacing from trace to copper should be at least 8 mils min."

Could you help me with that? How do we make it happen? I have open copper pour properties, but I am not sure what to adjust.

There is clearance option on the pouring tab in copper pour properties. It should be 8 mils or more.
Also open "Verification -> Design Rules", go to clearance tab and set "copper - trace" clearance to 8 mils. Run DRC to verify your board.

Which one is correct, and what is the difference between them?

Which one can I do, and it will apply to all layers? I want to avoid going to each layer's properties and doing it individually.

Please let me know if you see anything wrong.

Thank you!
