I updated a schematic and gave it a new name/version. I updated my PCB design from my updated schematic and gave it a new name, ok that's all good. But the link between the files where the highlighted component is also highlighted (Cross Selection and Highlight between PCB and Schematic) in the other file does not work. Is there a way to get the newer design files linked again? I even set the Related Schematic in PCB to the Schematic name...
Is this a bug or am i missing something? Using the latest release version 5.
Cross Selection and Highlight between PCB and Schematic
Re: Cross Selection and Highlight between PCB and Schematic
Nevermind I found i had to enable cross selection. Maybe this needs to be enabled by default?

Re: Cross Selection and Highlight between PCB and Schematic
To resolve the issue of linking between the schematic and PCB design, you can use the "Update PCB from Schematicgeometry dash meltdown" command in PCB design software like Altium. This command allows you to synchronize data from the schematic file to the PCB file, ensuring that any changes made in the schematic are reflected in the PCB design. If your software doesn't have this specific command, look for a similar function that updates the PCB from the schematic to ensure proper linking between the design files.

Such a great feature! I've waited for this since my Board-Station days! Thanks for adding this!
Re: Cross Selection and Highlight between PCB and Schematic
The issue may be due to renaming breaking the link between the schematic and PCB. Ensure both are properly synced and saved within the same project. Try re-assigning the schematic under “Related Schematic” and confirm that designators match
