Revision System

#1 Post by Gaurav Joshi » 12 Jan 2025, 07:14

Hello,

I am a long time user of Diptrace.
Infact I have 3 Altium Enterprise Licenses, yet I find Diptrace is much better to use especially where criticality of space is a concerned. I find Diptrace much easier to use.

I want to know whether, there is any sort of revision system that can be Incorporated with diptrace.
For eg : if we integrate the storage place with a repository, does it work satisfactorily. And also in that can can anything be done to compare the old vs latest.

Regards,
Gaurav

There is no version control built in DipTrace yet. We will consider this option for future versions. Meantime you can export DipTrace files to text based XML format and use third-party program for version control.

Altium Enterprise storage place with a repository version control built in DipTrace -

No need - The DipTrace platform is rather robust - as other(s) protocols change, this would become another effort to be compliant with (other's).
DipTrace is robust - learn it, use it.
If you like other SW - stay with it - no need for DipTrace to follow.
