Component rotation offset for the pick and place

#1 Post by rafa96 » 06 Jun 2025, 15:06

Is there a way to add a specific rotation offset to a pattern attached a to specific component?

We have a custom component and pattern library and the workaround we've been doing to solve the problem of components that are in the wrong direction when we use the pick and place machine is to duplicate, for example, a SOP-28 pattern and save it rotated at the angle that the pick and place can place it correctly. This method solve the problem but it's kinda tedious...😅because we have same several patterns but with differents rotations: SOP-28_R270, SOP-28_R90, etc.

So is it possible to when we attach a pattern to a component, in the component editor, add a rotation offset for the pattern attached to that specific component?

There is no way to add a specific rotation offset to a pattern when attaching it to a component.
Although you can add an additional field in component properties and write a specific rotation offset into the field I don't know how you can use it further.
