I have asked this question before and didn’t get any response but hopefully with the recent interest in organising libraries and a lovely new forum who knows…
I have made a large amount of my own components over the years and now have quite a lot in one library. I often add them at the end of the list so they are a bit mixed up.
The other day I wanted to move a group of similar components to the same place in the list. As far as I can see the only way to do this is moving them up or down one space at a time with a mouse right click, so moving about five components took me ten minutes!(it's a long list!).
Is there a better way of doing this? Also I would like to split the library into smaller library's but I can't see a way of doing this without going through and individually importing or exporting them to another library. It would be nice to have a sort of explorer view where you could drag the components up and down a list and between library's. This would make organising library’s much, much easier.
Also I can’t seem to get the search (at the top of the displayed library list) to work very well, what would be nice is for the search to work by narrowing down the selection as you type like Firefox does with bookmarks.
Organising Library's
Re: Organising Library's
You can insert and delete groups of components into libraries. Right click in the place where you would like to insert group of components from another library and Insert, then select components in the list (use Ctrl and Shift for multiple select) and insert them.
I would recommend to sort components alphabetically inside the library: Library/Sort Components by Name.
We will think on improving search function.

Thanks, that does make things easier.
Improving the seach function would be great.
